Four Wheel Driving Track Classification
The Victorian State Government has provided funding for the development of a track classification system for Four Wheel Driving on public land across Victoria. A four level track classification system has been developed in consultation with various industry sectors including 4WD Victoria and tour operators. The system is currently being further refined with the development of detailed criteria and a training package is being developed for track assessment. The classification of tracks will enable visitors to parks and forests to better understand the nature of a track before travelling on it and enhance the visitor’s trip.
