One of Melbourne's greatest natural attractions known for sheltered waters, long coastline, and sandy beaches. Parks Victoria manages most of the piers and jetties on Port Phillip Bay; drop a line at one of the many popular angling locations including piers at Middle Park, Mordialloc, Mornington, Rye, Sorrento, Geelong, Altona or Williamstown. - Morninton Peninsula National Park.
The ocean coastline from Portsea to cape Schanck features outstanding natural scenery and is popular with shore based anglers. Popular fishing spots include London Bridge and Gunnamatta where easy access is provided to the sandy beaches. - Bellarine Peninsula.
St Leonard's Pier is an area close to Melbourne that provides good fishing for snapper, squid, flathead and whiting.
