Community involvement is a vital part of planning and managing parks and reserves in Victoria. Commenting on draft park management plans, strategies and other reports is one way of engaging with park planning and improving the outcomes for parks and reserves. Parks Victoria invites all members of the community whether as individuals or members of organisations to comment. | Next 12 months: | Corner Inlet and Nooramunga Marine & Coastal Parks A proposed management plan was prepared for Corner Inlet and Nooramunga Marine and Coastal Parks in 1996, but was not finalised pending the conclusion of the Environmental Conservation Council’s (ECC) Marine, Coastal and Estuarine Investigation. The draft management plan is now being prepared
with assistance from the South Gippsland Marine Protected Areas Advisory Group and further consultation with stakeholders. The draft plan is expected to be released in 2009. Contact: Greg Mattingley.
