Draft Flinders Pier Master Plan and Draft Flinders Foreshore Coastal Management Plan

Parks Victoria in partnership with the Mornington Peninsula Shire commissioned URS to prepare a detailed Master Plan for the redevelopment of Flinders Pier and a Coastal Management Plan to provide direction for the management of the Flinders Foreshore.

A Steering Committee comprising representatives from Parks Victoria, Department of Sustainability and Environment, Mornington Peninsula Shire and Fisheries Victoria, has been established to oversee the project.

A Community Reference Group has also been established following an expression of interest process to input into the planning for Flinders Pier and foreshore. The Reference Group is an advisory body that has provided valuable community input into the planning process.

Throughout January and February 2008 the draft plans were released for public comment. The draft Master Plan for the redevelopment of Flinders Pier and Flinders Foreshore Coastal Management Plan are being finalised based on the comments received. A copy of the final plans will be uploaded to the website in due course.
