A steering committee comprising representatives from Parks

Committee of Management, Department of Sustainability &
Environment, Tourism Victoria, Department of Innovation Industry
& Regional Development, Department of Primary Industries
and Marine Safety Victoria has guided development of the plan.
The plan is the blueprint for the future use of the harbour
and adjoining foreshore incorporating the development of new,
or refurbishment of existing, infrastructure for commercial
and recreational boating, and supporting the local tourism
industry within Portarlington.
The plan incorporates key stakeholder and community views
to ensure that the ecological, heritage, cultural, and amenity
