Cleaning Up Ferntree Gully Picnic Ground

On Sunday 4 March sixteen enthusiastic volunteers set out on a mission to clean up the Ferntree Gully Picnic Ground and environs. They set off in different directions along the various walking tracks in the park. Their efforts were watched and applauded by hundreds and hundreds of visitors doing the 1,000 steps walk. The volunteers filled many bags, mainly with drinking bottles left behind by walkers doing the 1,000 steps!

Thanks go to Kim, Evan,Linda, Agnieszka, Kasia, Kyle, Francesca, Wilhelm and two Oxfam teams on a training walk through the park led by Natalie and Penny.
