2008 Seasweek Banner Competition
Parks Victoria and MESA invites primary and secondary students to create banners with clear messages about endangered (or extinct) marine creatures. The theme of the banner should tie in with the 2008 MESA Seaweek theme: 'Extinction - a Saw point'.Entry details
- Banner design must be in portrait view, and measure 90cm x 180cm. Allow an additional 10cm of calico at each end of design for display purposes.
- Banner material must be calico. Free calico cut to banner size is available from MESA . Contact: avance@mgc.vic.edu.au or fill out an registration on-line: http://www.mesa.edu.au/seaweek2008/vicbannercomp.asp
- Limit of one calico piece per school supplied. But Multiple entries may be submitted at your cost.
- Banner design can focus on one message or include multiple messages.
- Clearly label the back of each banner with your school name and include a banner title.
- Staple an A4 sheet to each entry that includes the banner title, teacher name and contact details (email and telephone number) students name/s and their year level and a 100 word (or less) description about your banner's design inspiration and messaging.
- Please make sure the paint and glue on your banner is dry before posting!
Finalists will be contacted via email.
