Melbourne Water - Water Smart Cities, Youth Environment Conference 2009
Held over two days in Melbourne at the Telstra Dome and Melbourne Zoo, this years Melbourne Water Youth Environment Conference again proved popular. Schools throughout Victoria attended with students ranging from grades four to eleven.Parks Victoria staff Rebecca Phillips and Kelly Murphy, presented four 45 minute sessions titled "Indigenous Australian perspectives and the lifecycle of water today" at the Melbourne Zoo.
The next Youth Environment Conference will be held the Landcare Youth Environment Conference in Lorne on the 4th & 5th August. Parks Victoria will be presenting again, this time on Invasive species within the Great Otway National Park.
