Bushfire Safety - Get Fire Ready
Parks Victoria manages our parks and reserves to ensure they are FireReady. We play a major role in planning for fire, risk reduction, emergency response and recovery after fire events across public land. In 2008-09, 780 staff performed in fire roles across the state.Parks Victoria is part of the State Government’s Networked Emergency Organisations, working under the leadership of the Department of Sustainability and Environment in managing bushfires on public land.
