Key Education Centres
Park based studies are a great way to encourage student leadership, co-operation, problem solving and critical thinking all within an exciting outdoor environment. To facilitate park based learning, Education Centres have been developed in key park locations throughout Victoria. These centres provide opportunities for students to get truly engaged in nature by participating in curriculum based hands on learning within a natural environment.
Qualified education rangers are employed at these centres and provide a diverse range of educational programs designed to integrate current Victorian curriculum frameworks.
Following guidelines set by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development , programs are available to cover VELS, VCE and CSFII frameworks. For more information and an interactive guide to Parks Victoria’s education centres, view the E-brochure.
