Welcome to Parks Victoria’s Marine Mapping Education Resource Kit. This kit has been developed to provide information and opportunities for Victorian students to learn about marine Mapping as applied to Victoria’s Marine National Parks and Marine Sanctuaries. These curriculum materials have been specifically developed in support of the Marine Mapping Education DVD.

This Kit comprises:

The Marine Mapping Education DVD follows the journey of four Victorian students doing a school project. They visit Bells Beach, Point Addis and Queenscliff to learn about Marine National Parks. On their journey they meet and talk with Minister John Thwaites about the significance of the parks system. They are also joined by Parks Victoria rangers and scientists who share their knowledge about the findings of the marine mapping project as well as other topics such as Indigenous heritage.
