Victorian Curriculum Linkages

2. Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)

Many of the activities can be modified to meet the work requirements for the VCE Study Designs including:

  1. Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS)
  2. Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)

Biology – Unit 2: Organisms and their Environment

  • Students investigate particular sets of biotic and abiotic factors that operate in different places in the biosphere, and how these factors influence the kinds of organisms that live there.
  • Students investigate how technologies are being applied to monitor natural ecosystems and to manage systems developed to provide resources for humans.

Geography - Unit 1: Natural environment

  • This unit investigates the geographic characteristics of natural environments and landforms and the natural processes that shape and change the Earth’s surface. It investigates how the interactions between natural processes and human activities can also change natural environments.

Environmental Science – Unit 1: The Environment

  • This unit focuses on the environment and its components. The functions of ecosystems and the interactions in and between the components will be investigated. The unit presents opportunities to examine the effects of natural and human-induced changes on ecosystems
