Nocturnal Animals

Eyes in the night
In almost every park you visit, there will be a few animals that only come out after dark. These animals are nocturnal - they move around and feed at night. During the day they stay in their homes. Their homes could be a burrow, a hollow log, a nest high in a tree or a small hole under-ground.

You may not always see these animals, but you may hear them moving about in the trees at night making weird and wonderful noises. Often all you see are two small eyes shining in the dark!

Find out what sort of homes these nocturnal animals have.
