Be amazed by the stunning colours of Lake Hardy, the pinkest of the Pink Lakes in Murray-Sunset National Park. Its proximity to the entrance road, accessible by 2WD vehicles, makes it an ideal destination for keen photographers, especially at sunrise and sunset when soft light accentuates the pink colouring of the lake.

A short nature walk around the Lake Hardy offers a great introduction to the landscape and vegetation of the Mallee. Follow the blue triangles from the information board along the well-formed track around the lake. Allow 45 minutes for the 1.7km Grade 3 circuit walk.

Visitor Tips: Carry adequate water to stay hydrated and avoid walking in the heat of midday. Temperatures can be extreme in summer. The nearest toilets and picnic facilities are located at the Main Campground near Lake Crosbie, a short drive north. There is no mobile reception in the park.
