Pioneer Drive (UNKNOWN, Murray - Sunset National Park)

Follow Pioneer Drive and introduce yourself to the unique scenery of Murray-Sunset National Park. Stop at Lake Kenyon, Becking, Crosbie and Hardy and capture amazing photos of the famous Pink Lakes. For those with limited time, Pioneer Drive is a must. Allow at least a couple of hours or combine it with some walks or a picnic and make a day of it.

Discover more about the plants, animals and history of the area with a walk around the Lake Hardy Loop or Kline Loop Nature Walks and the outdoor Salt Museum. Stop for a picnic at the Lake Becking or Lake Crosbie campgrounds where picnic tables and toilets are available. Unlike much of the park, Pioneer Drive is suitable for 2WD vehicles.

Visitor Tips: There is no mobile phone reception in the park. Visitors should carry plenty of water and avoid walking during the hottest part of the day in summer when conditions can be extreme. The lakes are usually more pink in winter and spring and at sunrise and sunset. Download the Murray-Sunset National Park Visitor Guide for more information.
